I suffered domestic violence for 10 years and spent a long time trying to dig myself out of the situation where I had our property in joint names with my ex. I had no idea that bankruptcy would be the key to finding my freedom. I had many worries and questions. My ex had made a court order consent order on me to sell the property after years of trying to get him to communicate with me regarding the property but the house couldnt be sold due to him threatening every real estate agent and not paying for the marketing fees and also not accepting any offers on the house. I myself was financial hardship paying out for everything just to keep myself afloat mortgage, rates, fixing the property which he damaged. My ex was threatening me to pay him money, he was controlling, and wanted to bury me in a National Park where nobody would find me and he would get caught. I panicked and my ex became very abusive over the phone on many occasions. I finally found my strength and said this is enough I don’t deserve to be treated the way anymore even though I love my house my health and mental well-being was more important and I couldn’t keep on losing my precious hard earned money. So I googled bankruptcy and found Andrew's website it must if been fate. I called Andrew straight away and saw him ASAP I was feeling very lucky to have an appointment with Andrew so quickly. He made sure that I was going to be okay from now on. Signing the paperwork was scary but it meant freedom. I no longer was responsible for paying anything towards the house. I have been paying g every and struggling on a part time income for 4 years by myself. I was relying on family for financial support. But finally I was free! Fast forward 2 years from May 2019 it is now February 2022 and I am now free of bankruptcy. I can now start my life again and anything I have now is my own.
